This is an awesome opportunity. Dan Kuhlken is an outstanding artist and print designer. I first knew him for his posters for Dave Matthew’s Band and wish I could have seen this post sooner and I would have attended this event! I attended UNF about 2 years ago and we had similar events as this and it was always helpful to attend and have your portfolio reviewed by people who can really give you advice and critiques. Even if I didn’t have work for professionals to review it is always a good opportunity to go and view other peoples work. You never know what might inspire you and maybe just listening to Dan’s presentation and the way he carries himself will help you to be a better designer. After all, it is all about the people you know and the connections you have. You never know who you might run in to at an event like this!
