So immediately after releasing this blog to the community we realize it’s vital that we make “blog etiquette” very clear. This blog has been started as a resource for students, faculty, staff, and the design community to stay in the loop on recent events in the Graphics Technology Program at Valencia as well as in the Graphic Design community. So some guidelines for using the blog are as follows:
Use this blog to keep up to date on current events, changes, competitions. Basically just about anything graphics related or related to our graphics program we might post on this site.
Use the blog to interact or give your feedback about postings. Ask questions or provide your input – we want to make sure you get the most out of this resource. Please keep comments relevant to the posting and do not use offensive language.
You must understand, this is a public blog. Therefore, any comments you make might be read by people you don’t know. Use caution in what and how you say things online.
We reserve the right to delete your comments. We will be monitoring this blog regularly. We do not want to have to worry about inappropriate comments, so please keep conversations at a mature level. Any inappropriate comments will be deleted immediately. We encourage you to participate in discussions – even if you’re not a student or faculty. However, please ensure your comments are relevant and not just being made to provide a link back to your web site. If comments are questionable, lack substance, and seem to be used more for a means of linking to your web site from this blog than offering meaningful feedback they will be deleted.
The blog is NOT the place for complaints about a class, instructor, or fellow classmates. Any comments of this nature will be deleted immediately. Any complaints or problems you are having should be addressed with your instructor or the program director, Barbara Peterson. Again, the blog is intended to be a resource not a site for complaints, rumors, or any comments that might offend others.
If you have any questions or ideas that might be worth including in the blog you may contact Amanda Kern at akern [at] valenciacc.edu
